Summer camp is up and running and the staff and kids are thrilled with the results. Professor Juan is back running the day to day events and the kids couldn’t be happier.
It is so important for kids to get an opportunity to be away from parents and teachers during the summer day hours giving them a chance to explore their environment and improve their social skills. Besides that it gives you parents some much needed time off to either get your work done or take care of home projects that are needed such as quality quiet time.
The kids are getting plenty of exercise and definitely improving their self defense skills everyday.
Thank you for entrusting us in helping to form well rounded and self sufficient children. We take this seriously and love our jobs 🙂

Our annual holiday bbq was once again an absolute great time. It is such a pleasure seeing all of our team mates and their families laughing and sharing stories with each other. There is nothing more I could ask then to see such a great bond created between everyone.

It’s is that time of the year again. On April 1st we will be having our annual bbq at Markham Park. It is always a blast to spend time with our students and their friends and family at the park. Come on over for some great bbq and games.

We’ve added to the schedule a Women Only Class. Due to high demand from our members and their family here it is. This means that on Tuesday and Thursday nights at 7pm while the regular adults fundamentals class is going on, women can choose to instead only train with other women. This is a great opportunity to learn how to defend yourself and at the same time be surrounded by other like minded women who want to learn, get in great shape and have an awesome time while doing it.

It’s a brand new year and our students and new ones as well are setting off on the right foot. Everyone’s been on the mats getting physically healthier and getting their heads in the right mood with great training.
Come on in if you’d like to join them in learning how to properly defend yourself while getting in great shape and surrounding yourself with positive people while training Renzo Gracie Jiu Jitsu.

Well we did it again. Another (9th) annual belt ceremony. Congratulations to all of you. This is a recognition of the countless hours you have put in. Intermixed with your sweat and determination there have been many laughs and smiles. The belt is really only a self satisfying acknowledgement that isn’t necessary. All of their fellow team mates knew long ago they deserved the promotion. Let’s all keep it up and continue on the forever journey of personal growth we call Jiu Jitsu. Renzo Gracie Weston forever!

Training at the academy has been going fantastic. Several students have been getting ready for tournaments coming up local and away which has been helping the whole academy raise their technique levels.
Congratulations on all the past success and looking forward to more and better of the same from everyone.

Summer camp is a big hit again. The kids have been having an absolutely great time. Besides being in a safe, healthy atmosphere, they’ve been playing really hard in the park and learning Jiu Jitsu everyday.
I think the parents are having as good a time as the kids because when the kids get home they are exhausted and happy, which means early to bed and free time for the parents 🙂
