The Beginner Program is the first level for adults (over the age of 16) beginning their Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training. Students will learn the fundamentals of BJJ and basic techniques. The class structure is formed around a warm-up, a lesson in technique and partner training to practice the technique from the lesson.
The Advanced Curriculum focuses on developing applicable self-defense skills beyond the fundamentals level without ignoring the sports aspect in both Gi and No-Gi. For those who choose the competition path, competition training is provided by invitation. This program is built to further develop the skills earned in the Fundamentals Program for adults of all ages.
It doesn’t matter if you are an experienced Martial Artist looking to round out your training, or you haven’t trained a day in your life. Stan Beck’s relaxed teaching style will quickly give you self-defense skills you can use from Day 1 of your training, while also helping you increase your endurance, confidence, strength, and overall health.
The classes are fun while being educational, and everyone there has a positive, helpful attitude not found in many Martial Arts schools. The academy itself is one of the cleanest, nicest Martial Arts training facilities in the area.
Bottom line: As a Police Officer and someone who has been training for over 20 years in the Martial Arts, I wouldn’t recommend a Martial Arts school if I didn’t believe it was one of the best in the area. The Renzo Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy of Weston has my wholehearted recommendation.
The women's class instructor, Lauren, is extremely knowledgeable and really cares about her student's success in Jiu-Jitsu. There's lots of women at different levels that are all super sweet and welcoming. Renzo Gracie Weston does a great job at accommodating their members to make sure everyone is comfortable!
This program is taught by female instructors. Developed for women who wish to learn Jiu Jitsu or progress further in their Jiu Jitsu journey without participating in mixed-gender classes. The women's classes are strenuous and effective; designed to develop self-defense skills and situational awareness.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Kids Program integrates physical education and self-defense technique with conditioning and skill-building games aimed at improving coordination, motor skills, agility, and flexibility. Our program helps young students develop important character traits and values. The kids classes include both Gi and No-Gi as well as the striking classes provided to both beginners and advanced levels.
The teens program was developed for those too old to participate in children's classes but not quiet adults yet. This program offers the opportunity to learn real life practical self-defense, develop focus and discipline as well as boost their self confidence. Our classes are offered both in Gi and No-Gi and for all skills levels.
Thanks! I have to tell you, Stan, that we are thrilled!!! (Our son) is TOTALLY COMMITTED to Gracie Jiu Jitsu!! When he comes home from class and I ask him how it was, etc., I can tell by the way he answers that he really LOVES it!!
He has really, really taken to it and doesn’t want to ever miss any classes that he can possibly take. We feel it is a terrific workout for him, both physically and mentally, and I can tell it is doing great things for his “head.” I see a growing sense of feeling good about himself, a sense of competency. Regardless of skill level, what more could a parent ask for, right? We all want our kids to feel good about themselves, confident, motivated, respectful, disciplined and proud of who they are. We also feel there is that very necessary sense of respect, praise and encouragement in the dojo. Without these elements, I believe, no program would be successful. You are running an organized and wonderful academy, Stan!
Keep it up! Thanks and have a great day!
